2. Play! Evergreen lake offers year round entertainment with paddle boarding in the summer and ice skating in the winter. The lake house offers boat rentals and skate rentals so you don’t even have to have your own gear. Just show up and get out on the water - warm or frozen! You can also golf right there at the lake at Evergreen’s very own golf course. See other golf courses near by for more fun!

3. Eat! Evergreen has arguably the best restaurants in the foothills. From rustic fancy to kid-friendly, there are so many options for a great meal. Check out the best restaurants in Evergreen.

6. Tour! Take a tour of the historic Hiwan Heritage Park where you can see the original Hiwan building, an old covered wagon and more. Tours are given at specified times or there is a pamphlet for a self-guided tour. Or visit the Evergreen Nature Center at the end of the downtown strip which features kid learning and hands-on activities.

7. Ski! Echo Mountain is right outside of Evergreen and is Denver’s closest ski mountain. It is a smaller ski resort so it’s great for families and beginners, too. They have day skiing as well as night skiing under the lights. They also have a great tubing hill for those not interested in skiing with its own conveyor belt lift and lanes for tubing!

8. Arts! Evergreen has a thriving art culture curated by local residents over the years. Check out the Center for the Arts Evergreen for programs, classes or take their self-guided tour of the various sculptures throughout Evergreen. Can you find them all?

9. Festivals! Throughout the year, and particularly in the summer, Evergreen is a buzz with festivals, concerts, movies in the park, rodeos, art shows, live theater, jazz festivals, orchestra concerts, and more. Never a dull moment around here! Check out what is upcoming and don’t miss a chance to see real mountain culture at work!
