Best of the Best: Coffee in the Foothills

Best Coffee in the Foothills of Colorado

Evergreen

  • Bivouac Coffee roasts their own beans in-house with single-origin beans, pour-over options and fancy lattes. There is also plenty of space to meet and work (and a breakfast spot next door for amazing breakfast burritos). My favorite coffee shop in the foothills.

  • Muddy Buck Coffee is in the historic downtown Evergreen building that used to be an old hotel. The wood floors in this building are worth the visit alone. Muddy Buck features single-origin beans roasted in-house, food and pastries and plenty of space to meet and work. If you want the ideal coffee-shop environment in a historic building, look no further.

  • Everbean Coffee has an amazing location across from Evergreen lake, good coffee and an extensive breakfast/lunch food menu.

In South Evergreen/Marshdale

  • Storm Glass coffee is a new shop next to Marshdale Burger. It pours coffee from various roasters, including Sweet Bloom Coffee which is made in Denver and is my all-time favorite roaster.

In Georgetown

  • Georgetown Coffee and Tea serves locally roasted Copper Door coffees, espresso drinks and teas. In two locations in Georgetown so you can’t miss it.

In Idaho Springs

  • The Frothy Cup brings in beans from around the world and makes small batch roasts in-shop. Add-in local home-baked goods and you have quite the perfect mountain coffee shop.

In Morrison

  • Morrison Joe coffee is a cute little shop with lots of drink options and an outdoor patio.
