Best of the Best: Ice Cream in the Foothills
Best Ice Cream Spots in the Foothills of Colorado
Kids and adults alike, we all need a treat now and then. Here are the best spots for ice cream in the foothills of Colorado.
Evergreen
Colorado Creamery serves Little Man Ice Cream in cones and pints with milkshakes, sundaes and more. They also have a treat called an Affogato that is cold ice cream with espresso poured over the top. Yes, please.
Baskin Robbins in Downtown Evergreen. It’s popular nationwide for a reason: Lots of flavors! But the best part of this location is the location along the river and the large tree that hangs over the water for kids to play on.
For a treat other than ice cream, check out Slife’s Shaved Ice in downtown Evergreen (behind Baskin’ Robbins). They are also at nearly every local event with their food truck.
In Morrison
Ozzie’s is old school (doesn’t even have a website) so you know it’s good.
In Georgetown
Georgetown Valley Candy Company: ice cream, fudge, caramel corn, oh my!
In Kittredge
Switchback Sweetshack offers scoops by the river and is next to Switchback Smokehouse (for amazing BBQ)
In Conifer
Lik’s Ice Cream has some of the best, locally made (in Denver) ice cream around. Kids love the many rich flavors, adults love the Jack Daniel’s chocolate chip.
